Founded in August 2017, by Devin Q. Keys, his custom apparel business began as a small creative outlet and a way to finally put his Bachelors of arts degree to work. What started as a single bridal shirt order quickly grew through the love, trust, and word-of-mouth support of the community around me. As I expanded into custom jerseys for local school teams, I realized my calling was bigger than printing it was pouring into people. I found myself mentoring students and adults on how to build their own on-demand apparel businesses, giving them a path to express their creativity while learning real entrepreneurial skills.
My work has become about more than shirts; it’s about helping people see their own potential. I use apparel as a canvas to teach project planning, branding, confidence, and even mental wellness. Every design session, workshop, or conversation becomes a chance to encourage someone to take a calculated risk, dream bigger, and believe in what they can build.
Our community is diverse, hardworking, and full of talent, yet many people especially youth and underrepresented groups face barriers to economic opportunity and creative expression. Access to mentors, business education, and hands-on training is limited. DK’s Screen Prints and Custom Designs bridges that gap by offering real skills in design, branding, and entrepreneurship. Through workshops, one on one mentorship, and pathways to employment, we create a supportive environment where individuals can gain confidence, launch projects, and generate income in ways they may have never considered possible. With additional resources, we’re committed to becoming a hub for creativity, empowerment, and second chances.
As a flexible print-on-demand shop with in-house design and branding expertise, we partner with creators, small businesses, schools, nonprofits, and community groups to bring their visions to life. But what truly sets us apart is our personal, hands-on approach. Clients come to us not only for high-quality apparel, but for guidance, honest support, and mentorship they often can’t find elsewhere. As a Black-owned business rooted deeply in the community, representation, access, and trust are core to everything we do. Whether it’s a school seeking jerseys or a new entrepreneur launching their very first merch line, we take pride in helping them grow, shine, and feel seen.
